strangers.fm was born off an observation of a lack of collective awareness within
contemporary western society.
living in london at the time, i observed
semi-conscious figures existing in urban life.
strangers.fm posed a simple question:
'are you tuning in?'
it invited the individual to consciously engage with the world around them, in an act to encourage awareness of other perspectives, realities,
prompting observation of synchronicities,
and an opening to the interconnectedness of the ecosystem we exist in.
the act of 'tuning in' originally a personal practice became a collective gesture, a way of bridging the gap between outer world and self.
the open call invited participants to submit anonymous conversations overheard that resonated with them whilst ‘tuning in’ with the world around them.
received submissions were exhibited as part of group show, ‘This and Other Wordly Glimpse’ in London,
September - October 2024.
